Brown Bag Lunch Talk with Local Artist Residencies and Studio Centers

Girls’ Club invites artists, arts venues and creative entrepreneurs to attend this information session and brown bag lunch talk, Thursday, August 8 at Noon.

Hear about South Florida’s artist residency programs/studio centers and learn about opportunities for studio space, facility usage and available support that can help further your artistic career and broaden your exposure.

Guest speakers include:

Jill Slaughter, Curator of Special Projects, Pembroke Pines Studio 18 in the Pines is an 11,000 sq ft facility dedicated to showcasing contemporary art and serving the community. The studio offers affordable space for emerging and mid career juried artists and hosts exhibitions, workshops, lectures and classes. www.ppines.com/studio18

Dominique Breard, Program Coordinator, Cannonball Miami Cannonball is a non-profit arts organization known for its advocacy and innovative programs supporting today’s artists. Core initiatives include education and access support programs as well as a Residency Program, which offers long-term live/work space for local artists and short-term residencies for visiting cultural producers. www.cannonballmiami.org

Susan Caraballo, Artistic Director, ArtCenter South Florida ArtCenter South Florida provides affordable work-space for outstanding visual artists in all stages of career development.
