BassX, Bass Museum Temporary Space

New Sculpture by Sylvie Fleury: Eternity Now, 2015 | Eternity Now, 2015, Fleury newest site-specific neon, will be installed on the façade of the Bass Museum of Art’s Art Deco building as part of bassX, the museum’s series of artist projects presented during its year-long renovation.

Girls' Club Collection

Self-Proliferation | An exhibition of works by more than thirty artists from the collection of Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz. Selected by New York-based independent curator Micaela Giovannotti, works in the exhibition express the natural female propensity for replication and fecundity. Artists include: Ida Applegroog, Anette Messeger, Nancy Spero, Cindy Sherman, Lorna Simpson, Jessica Stockholder, Mickalene Thomas, and others.
100+ Degrees in the Shade | The only Broward iteration of these multi-venue exhibition of South Florida artists curated by Jane Hart. Artists include Natalia Arias, Carol K. Brown, Lou Anne Colodny, Cat Del Buono/ReFemme, Jacqueline Falcone/Misael Soto, Naomi Fisher, Samantha Salzinger, Diego Singh, Katie Stirman and Angela Valella.

ICA, Institute of Contemporary Art

A Public Character | A Public Character marks the first major museum presentation of Shannon Ebner’s work comprising photography, sculpture, installation and video.
The Van (Redux) | On view in ICA Miami’s Atrium Gallery, The Van (Redux) features a seminal but rarely-seen video by Alex Bag, The Van, 2001, alongside a video and a dramatic new site-specific installation that brings the historic work to the present.

PAMM, Perez Art Museum Miami

Bloodlines | Tracing the history of social movements in the Unites States and the Caribbean, Bloodlines presents a series of new works by Firelei Báez inspired by lineages of black resistance.
Project Gallery: Bik Van der Pol | Speechless, a new work by the Rotterdam-based artistic duo Bik Van der Pol (Liesbeth Bik and Jos Van der Pol), is a multi-layered exploration of how we speak about the precarious state of the natural world.
Project Gallery: Sheela Gowda | Sheela Gowda’s artistic practice engages a diverse range of media and materials. PAMM’s double-height Project Gallery will serve as a unique architectural context for a newly commissioned sculptural installation by the Bangalore-based artist.

Littlest Sister Art Fair, 4th Edition | Inaugurating Spinello Projects’ new space and its 10th Year Anniversary, Littlest Sister will feature an emerging Miami based curator, Sofia Bastidas (Littlest Sister Director) and ten unrepresented women-identified Miami based artists including Cara Despain, AdrienneRose Gionta*, Jessie Laino, Tara Long, Ana Mendez, Nun (Jessica Martin and Deon Rubi), Jamilah Sabur, Reed van Brunschot, Juana Valdes, and Clara Varas.

Locust Projects

Martha Friedman: Pore | For her first major show in Miami, Friedman has created four vividly colored sheets of rubber – made by pouring around 1000lbs of the material onto Locust Projects’ floor – that have been rigged to cascade from the rafters.
Beatriz Monteavaro*: Nochebuena | The exhibition is centered around memories of family gatherings in the artist’s childhood home, with a focus on the celebrations surrounding Nochebuena (Cuban Christmas Eve).

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale

To be Continued: Television as Art | An exhibition of video artworks by Vito Acconci, Cory Arcangel, Dara Birnbaum, Ceal Floyer, and Yoko Ono, that explores the television in the realm of contemporary art, curated by Bonnie Clearwater, NSU Art Museum Director and Chief Curator.
The Indestructible Lee Miller | The exhibition considers Miller’s life from multiple perspectives: assistant, collaborator and muse of surrealist artist Man Ray; and pioneering fine art, fashion, and war photographer whose images of the London Blitz, liberation of Paris, and Dachau and Buchenwald concentration camps were among the most powerful photographs of World War II.
