Girls' Club presents an informal summer series offering professional development support, discussion and resources for artists and arts professionals. Each session is held on Fridays, Noon-2pm and will revolve around different topics that affect artists and their practice.
Sessions are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. RSVP in advance is required to secure your spot.

As an artist, designer, writer, curator, or other creative, the management of your practice may benefit as a formal business entity - the most common are LLCs and 501c3 nonprofits. This session looks at the differences, advantages and disadvantages of running an art business as a Limited Liability Company, LLC, or a 501c3 Nonprofit Corporation with Girls' Club director Sarah Michelle Rupert and Founder, CEO, & Managing Partner of Shraybman Law Jessica Shraybman.

Artists and arts professionals are invited to join us for a rapid-fire portrait session with photographer Oriol Tarridas to help equipment local creatives with professional headshots to use on social media, artist and affiliate websites, and other career opportunities. Headshots and artist portraits are an important part of an artists toolkit and are absolutely necessary for museums, galleries, and other arts organizations to tell people about the amazing artwork, exhibits, programs, talks, and events that they present.
