Young at Art After-School kids visit Frances Trombly exhibition

Twenty very young art aficionados visited Girls’ Club on Thursday, September 22nd from their after-school program around the corner from Girls’ Club – organized by Young at Art Museum.
They loved to talk, and we shared stories about weaving and animals who weave (guess which ones!).
After looking at Frances Trombly’s hand-embroidered Target and Publix receipts, we conducted a little experiment. We replicated a lunch menu, each young artist copying a fragment, and then re-forming the squares into a menu again. It was a great exercise in paying attention to detail.
