Girls’ Club presents the film screening event Art Trichotomy: Portraits of the Industry, a video project by Girls’ Club spring 2015 fellow Megan Castellon, at The Screening Room in Wynwood, Miami. Gourmet popcorn snacks and afterparty sponsored by Box Elder.
Art Trichotomy shows the story of four South Florida gallerists, curators and artists – Dina Mitrani, Tami Katz-Freiman, Lisa Rockford and Jillian Mayer – through video portraits and personal interviews.
The live screening event takes place at The Screening Room in Wynwood, a gallery and project space founded by Rhonda Mitrani that is one of the only places in South Florida dedicated to film/video-based contemporary art. Following the film, a Q&A panel will be open for discussion with the director Megan Castellon and portrait subjects in attendance. Gourmet popcorn from local Wynwood beer bar Box Elder Craft Beer Market will be served, with an afterparty at Box Elder, 2825 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL, directly following the screening.
Following the live screening, each video will be available to view at www.girlsclubcollection.org/art-trichotomy and the Girls’ Club Vimeo page.
Funding for this project is provided in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council.
