The 2012 holiday season will kick-off with a celebration of originality, creativity and modern expression. Beaux Arts of Fort Lauderdale will be hosting its 25th annual holiday fundraiser, with proceeds to benefit The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, Young at Art Children’s Museum and Funding Arts Broward.

This year’s event, Up on the Rooftop – A Night at the Museum, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17th at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, 1 East Las Olas Blvd. From the works of the “Pope of Pop”, to a high energy experience of the future of art, Up on the Rooftop – A Night at the Museum, will be a celebration of the joy of the arts. The backdrop of the holiday gala will be the much anticipated Warhol and Cars: American Icons exhibition that opens at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale on Sat., Nov. 10 and runs through Sun., Feb. 10, 2013. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available which include the VIP Private Champagne Tour of Andy Warhol and Cars, event tickets and many other perks.

The main event, Up on the Rooftop – A Night at the Museum, will feature live entertainment by world renowned artist Michael Israel. Described as “the Future of Art” by ArtNet News, Michael Israel, who paints larger than-life canvasses on stage to high energy music, can be best described as Cirque du Soleil meets Picasso. He has performed at some of the world’s most celebrated venues such as the Presidential Gala, Garth Brooks and Bruce Springsteen concerts and the Olympic Medals stage. At the conclusion of his half hour performance, Michael’s paintings will be sold during a live auction.

And the party will continue throughout the night, with additional entertainment provided by the featured DJ at the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach, Sandman. Delicious food and drink, a silent auction and the chance to purchase themed wreathes and trees will complete the event.

The cost to attend is $125.00 per person and be can be purchased by visiting the Beaux Arts website.
Since its inception in 1959, Beaux Arts has raised more than $5 million dollars for the Museum of Art. We recently have expanded our support to the community to include Young at Art Museum. Beaux Arts is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization with a mission to encourage among children, young people and adults a more thorough understanding and appreciation of fine and applied arts.
