About the Artist
Lou Anne Colodny’s experiences in dance, theater and museum administration have greatly informed her art. She was a recipient of the 2008 Cultural Consortium Fellowship in the Visual and Media Arts for Broward County in Florida. Colodny has had one person shows like, SATURATION /THE FACE LIFT IN A JAR in Miami’s Design District in May 2006 and Transformations I and II at the Okaloosa-Walton College in Niceville, Florida.
Colodny writes, directs acts, films, edits and creates the sound elements in all her videos to date. She considers herself to be a found object. In Miami, Colodny’s videos have been included in, Optic Nerve programs at MoCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art; The Experimental Show at the Wolfonsian Museum; and the Unaffiliated Artist Exhibition at the Living Room, Miami Design District, a one person show at the project room of the Hollywood Art and Culture Center in Florida, Beauty or Not, curated by Carol Jazzar and in the video programs of SCOPE MIAMI, 2005 and –SCOPE NY 2006.
